Slime Rancher is a 'relaxing life simulation' title that borrows a few elements from the farming simulator subgenre. It's developed by Monomi Park and saw an early access release in January of 2016, followed by an official release in August of 2017.

Windows and macOS versions are on offer at the Epic Games Store at no cost for the next two weeks, however, it's worth noting that the game is also available for Linux via Steam for $19.99. Also available on Steam is the original soundtrack (for a cost), a free VR experience, and the free 'Galactic Bundle' that adds a few in-game items.
